It gets a little tougher each day to get up. I've adjusted to the time change. The problem is falling asleep when it is light outside. It is now light until about 2330.
Clinic started a little slow today. I kept trying to call the gallery to see if I could go buy some souvenirs. Turns out that the lady who runs it is on jury duty this entire week. I get to talk to her when she answers the phone around 1600. She agrees to open the store after hours for us since we are leaving soon. She won't do it today so we settle for thursday. Hope we aren't scheduled for anything in anticipation of leaving.
Lunch time is a pleasant surprise. The staff of the outpatient clinic brought us lunch. There is pizza from the only pizza place in the town. There is fresh fruit and veggie tray too. Sodas are a welcome sight. We thank them multiple times. Everything tastes wonderful. There is even a card signed by all the nurses telling us thank you. It is very sweet.
A new physician has joined us in the clinic. Teams are starting to be brought back in to Kotzebue. There will be more tomorrow joining us for the last day. Since there isn't much to do I guess it is a good way to pass the time.
Tonight will be the Northern Lights. The weather has cleared this afternoon so hopefully we will be able to see. The rating is still a 3 so it should be pretty. I'm planning a nap when I get off work so I can not feel too sleep deprived.
More than anything I am just ready to be home.
